Our Hesburgh Lecture will take place on Thursday, January 28th at 7pm at the Ragsdale Center of St. Edward’s University. There will be a small wine & cheese reception following the lecture.

“What Race Is and What it is Not”

There are no biological races in humans, but race is a prominent social reality, especially in the U.S. Humans vary in many ways, but not always in the ways we think. This lecture reveals the myths and the realities about human diversity, and why this information is very important to all of us.

Agustin Fuentes is a professor of anthropology and the director of the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts at the University of Notre Dame.
